After years of preparation, 2024 is the year I will set off to climb my first 8000m peak. The peak I'll be climbing is called Manaslu, which means 'Mountain of the Spirit'. It is situated in northern Nepal and stands at 8163m, making it the 8th tallest mountain in the world. I've got the technical ability to climb it, and I've been on a mission to get myself as fit as possible. How fit do you need to be for 8000m? I don't know, but hopefully I'll be fit enough!
